The lovely folk at Seven Live have invited me back. This is always a great show - nice booze, good cake.
Rejoice! MONOCHROME returns and I’m doing the first one all on my own. PAYF
I’m playing a set at Broughton House at the Prospect Farm festival. I’m on at the main venue (Long Barn).
My monthly piano residency at The Jolly Tap is all about the piano, so it makes sense that we celebrate Piano Day,
“Why does the world need a Piano Day? For many reasons. But mostly, because it doesn’t hurt to celebrate the piano and everything around it: performers, composers, piano builders, tuners, movers and most important, the listener.” – Nils Frahm
Piano Day, a annual worldwide event founded by a group of likeminded people, takes place on the 88th day of the year – in 2020 it’s the 28th March – because of the number of keys on the instrument being celebrated
as well as a set from me we will have special guests Sophie Worsley and The Bleeding Obvious. It will be glorious!
Having reimagined the Beach Boys’ 1966 classic album “Pet Sounds” with just voice and piano, RIC NEALE now turns his attention to Rick Astley’s 1987 debut album “Whenever You Need Somebody”. He’ll do all the songs (even the bad ones) in order. It is a terrible idea.
Support comes from Kylie’s mate GRAINGERBOY and there’s a special 1987 themed quiz from ROB REED

Ric Neale is a piano based singer-songwriter that brings to mind peak period Elton John or Billy Joel. Ruby Macintosh is a vivacious singer-songwriter inspired by pop music of the 50s and 60s. Ric and Ruby will do a set each with a short interval and will perform together at points throughout the night.
Monochrome is a monthly piano night curated by musician Ric Neale at The Jolly Tap in Wakefield. At each show Ric will do a support slot and then a featured artist will do a set on the real piano in the bar. They show starts at 8pm and it's Pay What You Want.
I'm delighted to be returning to Headingley Heart, and this time with the wonderful songwriter Esme Bridie.

This is a new event run by the very talented Henry Bateman in the style of an old fashioned Songwriters circle. It should be a great night.
This is the second ever Brudenell Piano Sessions - the first was awesome. Its a very intimate night of acts around the piano at the legendary Leeds venue.
